| July 30 | The Forum Fukuoka, a public access magazine in Fukuoka has featured the 3rd Annual Conference of International Regions Benchmarking Consortium in Fukuoka (July 7-9). Taichi Goto was appointed as a working group leader and team of Fukuoka Urban Laboratory has contributed to this effort. |

| October | Taichi Goto was elected as a regional commissoner for Asia Region of International New Town Association (INTA), an international association of urban decision makers and practitioners. |

| March 18 | Taichi Goto will be part of the peer-to-peer panel in Taiwan on urban regeneration and integration strategies, and giving advice to the city of Taipei and Tainan on a mission organized by INTA. |

| April 13 | Fukuoka Directive Council was established, and Taichi Goto was appointed to be the Secretary General of the Coucil. This is a collaborative initiative by local leaders from all sectors (public, private, academic and citizens) to strengthen international competitiveness of the Fukuoka region. |
